Spike's & Jamie's 911 Memorial Page

We are dedicating this page to the friends and families of those killed or injured during the cowardly attack on an innocent American civilian population on 9/11/01; also to the rescue workers and volunteers who have given so much of themselves to help during this tragedy - some have given all.

Subject: The World shares our pain and anger

I recently sent the following link to family and friends one of whom is German and lives in Europe (my exchange student). I'm sure many have seen this Tribute and if not you should. This is the information he sent me that I felt the need to share with all to show the impact this tragedy has made across the world.

The World Mourns

The pictures from Europe that you see on these pages were mostly made on Friday. At 12 o'clock everything all over Europe stood still for 5 minutes and the people remained silent.
In Berlin more than 200000 people got together to demonstrate for peace and to pray for the victims -they also sang "Amazing Grace".

A few words of German politicians in the last days:

The president said: "No one knows better than the people of Berlin, how much we own America when it comes to freedom and peace on this continent!"

"...Today, we are all Americans!..."

" ...This is a declaration of war against all civilized states of the world..." (now these are really hard words for a German chancellor, because ever since WW2, we try to keep out of all kind of military acts)

So you see the sympathy for America and the grief over here are really great.

Let's just hope that it doesn't get any worse!

Are We To Crumble In The Presence Of Terrorism?
by Robert Taylor

A number of people have decided to forego business as usual because of the recent terrorist attacks on the USA which have caused untold loss of life and property and enormous grief.

This has been another "shot heard around the world." The aftermath affects us all and will be far-reaching.

We must not let the dastardly acts of a few terrorists stop us in our tracks. That is precisely what they wished to happen. They wanted their acts of terrorism to paralyze us to prove the power of their actions.

We cannot close our eyes and pretend it didn't happen. It struck to the very core of our souls and hearts. The news coverage of these events has been in-depth and all- encompassing. There are few people on the face of this earth who cannot know of the attack and the collapse of the two towers.

The loss of innocent lives is so great it cannot be estimated at this point.

Where there are natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods and hurricanes we provide all the assistance possible and do our best to return things to normal as quickly as we can. We do not allow our business activities to come to a halt.

This is not because we are uncaring, indifferent or greedy. Continuing business as usual provides needed services and goods and the work involved gives us a viable outlet for our grief and sorrow. The more one sits and thinks about the recent terrorist attack and its aftermath, the greater its impact on our thoughts and our economy.

If there has ever been a time in history when we need to be strong, united and enduring, it is now. We must have a strong economy and total solidarity. Our leaders need our whole-hearted support.

The intent of the terrorist is to frighten and paralyze those upon whom they perpetrate their acts. We cannot let them instill fear and paralysis in us. Should that happen we have given them victory over us and our affairs.

We come from hardy stock and are not easily frightened or manipulated. There is much pride and great humanity in our world. We have always become strongly united in the face of threats. That is our glory and that is our strength.

Difficult as it is at this time, let us get back to repairing the physical and mental damage done by the terrorists. Let us show them their acts are no more significant than the attack of a flea on an elephant. It is an irritant, but it is not frightening.

Attack on America
Fear is the greatest weapon of the terrorist. They are bullies. They want us to feel vulnerable and become their victims.

This act is the ultimate manifestation of negative energy. They are taught this hate from birth. It is their way of life. We need to defend ourselves but certainly not get into the hate and fear. We must remain strong as one consciousness.

Nothing happens unless it is in the greater plan. We all come here with lessons in order for us to find balance. Sometimes it is necessary to see the extremes in order to awaken us. This has changed all of our lives. It has changed our priorities. It makes us see what is truly important in our lives. Everything seems so fleeting at times.

In addition to our own personal lessons here, we have group lessons as well. These lessons come from that higher consciousness that guides us. If you were in the fifth grade and had a good breakfast and was driven to school by your mother, you would be more receptive to the lessons of the day. If you didn't have breakfast and fell off your bike on the way to school and were not feeling well, you would have a difficult time dealing with the lessons of the day. Regardless of how your day is going, the teacher will present the lesson plan of the day. Each one affected differently by the same lesson. Each one experiencing the lesson by their own perceptions and conditions in their life.

Let us not forget we are part of a greater consciousness. That essence within is an extension of all things. Let us focus on this power within the light. Fighting hate with hate will only intensify the hate for us all. Let us remain strong within the consciousness of the light.
